Location: Orange Walk Depot
National Gas Company (Belize) Limited is seeking a highly motivated and safety-conscious individual to join our team at our Orange Walk Depot in the role of Operations, Maintenance and Bobtail LPG Driver Technician.
This is a dynamic, hands-on position that combines technical maintenance responsibilities with LPG delivery operations, offering an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced and safety-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform operational duties including LPG loading, unloading, and inventory management
- Conduct routine inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment and systems
- Safely operate bobtail LPG trucks for delivery to residential, commercial, and industrial customers
- Carry out pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain accurate delivery records
- Monitor tank readings (temperature, pressure, and levels) and perform reconciliations
- Ensure strict adherence to all safety standards, operating procedures, and road traffic laws
- Participate in emergency response, firefighting, and safety training activities
- Provide professional and courteous service to customers
Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma (technical training preferred) or certification from a recognized technical institution
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in maintenance (mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation preferred)
- Valid Heavy Duty Driver’s License (Class B or equivalent) with a clean driving record
- Experience in LPG, oil and gas, or a related field is an asset
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office
- First Aid and Firefighting training are assets
Working Conditions
This role involves outdoor work, shift schedules, and weekend duties. Candidates must be physically fit and able to meet the demands of both technical and driving responsibilities.
